Waves come and go, currents change direction, and even a seemingly calm surface never truly stops. With this project, I wanted to slow that movement until something else became visible: the small, enduring shapes between the waves.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through longer exposures, the water loses its visible restlessness. Structures disappear and contours soften. The stones, however, remain. I find it fascinating how much this changes my own perception. The exposure had to be long enough for movement to flow together, yet short enough to suggest something still alive beneath the calm.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stillness Needs an Anchor<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Smooth water alone does not make a peaceful photograph. Stones and rocks give the eye something to hold on to and form a deliberate counterpoint to the softened movement.
