The red wooden building stands beside the water, almost detached from everything around it. Below, the fisherman's house appears again in a reflection that, for a moment, seems just as real.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The longer I stood there, the less important the background became. I wanted to give this one house and its quiet double as much space as possible. Everything unnecessary could disappear from the photographs until only the form, the reflection, and the emptiness between them remained.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The film behind the photography project<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the film, I show how a quiet coastal scene can give rise to different photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Das Fischerhaus - FineArt Fotografie\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1QnnpIgNvSk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The photographic challenges<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Light in Transition<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early morning brings soft light, but only for a short while. As the sun rises, harsh contrasts and flat reflections quickly appear. The right window of time determines how calm and restrained the house will look.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Balance of the Reflection<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Long exposures smooth the water, but the reflection should not overpower the house. Too much symmetry makes the image static; too little takes away its calm. The balance between the actual form and its reflection creates the tension.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Images from the project<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five images in which the house tells a different story each time.
