This weekend, Oslo called and I followed, camera in hand. My destination was Karl Johans gate, probably the best-known street in the city, a place where life never seems to stand still.

That Saturday it was bustling once again. People streamed through the streets, an endless coming and going of conversations, laughter and hurried footsteps. Amid the activity, I was not searching for grand scenes, but for small, fleeting moments, those brief human encounters that tell a story without a single word.

What fascinated me most were the contrasts, not only in colour and light but especially in social life. Street photography thrives on spontaneity and flexibility, and on the ability to anticipate the right moment before it disappears.

I kept my equipment deliberately simple: a 16 mm lens for wider views and my trusted 24-70 mm zoom, which I used almost exclusively this time. I needed nothing more to capture the city's energy, diversity and distinctive moods.

You can explore the whole photography project in more detail !

Nach langer Zeit zog es mich endlich wieder hinaus – hinaus aus der Weite der Natur, hinein in das pulsierende Herz der Großstadt.
