Autumn is retreating. The light grows softer, the air clearer, and the paths carry the damp scent of earth and fallen leaves. It was early morning. The sky was still pale, and the forest lay quiet, as though holding its breath.<\/p>\n
I stood on the path, surrounded by trees whose remaining leaves glowed in just a few shades. The sun had begun to filter through the branches, laying a golden veil of light across the ground. Nothing moved. No sound, no wind, just the world waking quietly.<\/p>\n
At autumn's end, the landscape loses its colours, but not its beauty.
\nIt feels more mature, calmer, more honest. Everything unnecessary has fallen away. What remains is structure, form and light. It is as though nature is returning to what matters most.<\/p>\n
I love these early hours when the day still hesitates.
\nYou can sense the transition from darkness to light, from autumn to winter. It is a quiet balance in which transience is not something to fear, but something to accept.<\/p>\n
I took this photograph on one of my last photographic outings of the year.
