It is Christmas. The darkest day is behind us. The longest night has passed, almost unnoticed. And even though we can barely see it yet, the light is slowly beginning to return.<\/p>\n
I took this photograph during a time of waiting. The sky was still heavy, the water calm, the mountains in shadow. A warm glow rested on the horizon, neither bright nor loud, but persistent. Much like the light at this time of year. It does not demand attention. It returns quietly.<\/p>\n
As so often, the snow is taking its time. Perhaps that is just as it should be. Even without a blanket of white, there is something gentle about this season. A stillness deeper than any festive decoration. A moment to pause, to look back and to let go.<\/p>\n
For me, Christmas is not a loud celebration. It is a quiet transition. A moment of gratitude for what has been, and a cautious look ahead.<\/p>\n
To everyone who follows my photographs, I wish a peaceful and blessed Christmas. May the light reach you, even in places that have been dark for a long time. I wish you health, happiness and confidence in the year ahead.
