Minus seventeen degrees Celsius, and it had been that way for weeks. A long cold spell had given the ice crystals time to grow.<\/p>\n<p>These delicate structures do not appear by accident. Layer by layer, quietly and unnoticed. The cold shapes what will eventually become visible.<\/p>\n<p>A short walk through the forest took me gently uphill, away from the paths. I found these crystals where the light was subdued and the silence remained.<\/p>\n<p>In the photograph, they look like tiny structures built from light. Angular yet fragile. Almost like movement frozen in the very act of growing. The ice speaks of order, patience, and time that cannot be hurried.<\/p>\n<p>I used a prime lens. That requires closeness, patience, and deliberate observation. To isolate the crystals, I placed a homemade black background behind them. Everything unnecessary disappears, leaving only the form.<\/p>\n<p>I also made <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iELsAi2TsLo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a video<\/a><\/strong>.
