From the moment to the image.
A photograph captures a moment. The films tell the story of what came before: the journey, the waiting, the discovery of a subject, and the decisions that turn it into an image.
Wo Bilder entstehen.
Join me on my photography trips through Norway. No predetermined image and no promise of success. The camera follows along as I search, reconsider, wait, and finally decide what should remain.
Still Mountain Lake
A nearly motionless mountain lake, its reflections, and the question of how much a photograph needs to show. A quiet introduction to the series.
Fragments of the Forest
How overlooked details become photographs in their own right.
Before Awakening
Beside the sea, before the day begins.
Among the Stones
An unremarkable beach, and the shapes hidden within it.
The Waterfall
Movement and time at a waterfall.
The Wreck
Traces of time on a deserted coast.
Auf den zweiten Blick.
The photograph begins outdoors. At home, another kind of seeing begins. This series is about using Lightroom to turn a RAW file into a deliberate photographic expression.

One photograph. Many decisions.
Brightness, contrast, colour, or black and white: even small adjustments can change the feeling of a photograph. I show why I bring certain areas forward, let others recede, and how I decide when an image is finished.
You can find the editing episodes on my YouTube channel, where you can follow how each image takes on its final form, step by step.
Many of these films belong to a photography project. There you can discover more photographs, the ideas behind them, and the journey from the initial encounter to the finished work.
