But the Greatest of These Is Love

Among grey facades, cold asphalt and people hurrying past, this heart glows. A small sign in the middle of the city, quiet and unwavering.

The words on the heart say, 'But the greatest of these is love.' The line comes from the Bible, but here, in this setting, it takes on a new, deeply human meaning.

I deliberately kept the editing restrained. Everything that distracts steps into the background. Colour, movement, noise: they fade until only what matters remains.
The red of the heart. A symbol of warmth in the midst of coldness.

That was exactly what I wanted to draw attention to through this reduction: how easily we overlook what matters in everyday life, and how powerful it can be when we finally notice it.

This heart is not there by chance. It feels like a quiet protest against indifference, a bright sign against the grey of the city.
And perhaps it reminds us of something we forget too often:
Above all stands love.

  4. Wirkt tatsächlich intensiver so.

    1. Vielen Dank! Genau das dachte ich auch. Die Reduktion bringt die Wirkung erst richtig hervor.

      Dirk

    1. Thank you so much! I did not think of that, but yes, it really fits Valentine’s Day perfectly.
