The rock rises in silence, dark and rugged. Here, the Troll Wall reveals a side that few people see. Not a familiar tourist view or picture-postcard perspective, but the backs of the giants.
It is as if the trolls have lined up here, frozen in a moment between day and night. Jagged peaks like teeth, ridges like swords. An army of stone, keeping silent watch.
Clouds pass quickly overhead, but the mountains remain. Time loses its meaning. All that is left is the weight of the rock and the sense that this world is older than any story we tell about it.
I took this photograph last week on a remarkable mountain walk, climbing high into this wild landscape. For me, it was more than a photograph. It felt as though I were looking through a veil into a realm where silence is not empty, but full of secrets.

Was für eine Tour! Der Apfel fällt nicht weit vom Stamm, wenn der Junior so eine Tour vorschlägt, weiß er, dass der Vater nicht nein sagt. Gemeinsam dieses Ziel zu erreichen ist ein Geschenk, das nicht in jeder Familie verteilt wird! Die Bilder sprechen wieder für sich. Gruß an den Sohnemann, hat er fein ausgewählt, den Ort für die Bilder! Das gezeigte hier regt die Fantasie mal wieder mächtig an.
